Re: Time for a new sheet of glass? Which thickness?

Are the new borosilicate plates thicker than what I got from Makergear 3-4 years ago? The plate they sent me with the printer fits great but my old plate (without kapton on it) was too close and the 1st 2 layers were just rubbing on the glass without any extrusion.

Re: Dual Extruder M2 Rev. E Profiles - Simplify3D (FFF files

Is there a dual .fff for the PolySupport as the support instead of PVA. Or, if there are few differences what are they. Looks like a foot of snow Tuesday. Let the good times roll...

Re: Dual Extruder M2 Rev. E Profiles - Simplify3D (FFF files

I saw that in the writeup. I'm dialing in the left first (thanks for the .fff's), doing some calibration prints and trying something with support before I go to the right extruder. When I get there I'll have a question about the raising of the right nozzle part before making it level to the left noz...

Re: Dual Extruder M2 Rev. E Profiles - Simplify3D (FFF files

Being a teacher on a snow day with a new M2 is pretty great! I got the Quickstart app done. I just did the left extruder and the process was much faster than the Makergear video on youtube. It went only to 3 places, had me test for the gap and then said it was ready. I tested the right extruder the ...

Re: Help with printing water tight container.

I met "Aaron Double Twotimes" when I bought my first printer (April 2011, a cough, cough thingomatic. I learned my lesson). Back then He had a PLA vase made on a "cupcake" that was H2O tight from increasing the extrusion multiplier if I remember correctly. He treated the outside too but I don't reme...

Re: Dual Extruder M2 Rev. E Profiles - Simplify3D (FFF files

I think I found it. Got my new Ella Guru in today (I name all my printers that: "She know all the colors that nature do"). Downloaded the quick start app, got It all set up and ready to go but can't really start until Friday (life interfering). I feel like I'm in over my head with the change to dual...

Re: Dual Extruder M2 Rev. E Profiles - Simplify3D (FFF files

Sorry if I missed it. I'm curious how the initial bed leveling process is different for the dual extruder. I saw the video on the quick start app but it just shows the single head printer. What extra steps are involved? Thanks.

Re: Dual Extruder M2 Rev. E Profiles - Simplify3D (FFF files

Yet again I thank you for posting tips so freely. I just ordered a dual extruder (arrives tomorrow 3/8) and I've been poring over these posts. It still blows my mind that a hedgehog told me how to swap filament midprint for the hedgehog I was printing a few months back.

Re: How to: "Not-Splice" Filament on its way into the M2

Thanks so much (you've often helped me and many other M2 users a great deal). Your pic is appropriate. I just saw this after trying to print a black and red hedgehog by cutting the 1st spool and hand feeding the new filament. I wasn't nearly patient enough nor did I prepare well enough. I failed and...
