Re: MakerGear Forum Shutting Down
Rick, Sorry to hear that and its sad news for sure. Buying my first M2 kit changed my life like I never would have imagined and I hope someone comes to the rescue. I know the forum isn't that active anymore but it'd be a shame to lose all of the great info everyone has contributed over the years. Wh...

Re: Going back to v4 extruder
Yes it should be... just make sure you have the correct firmware. They have a firmware selector on their site because the stepper motors can be different also so do...

Re: Heatbreak Barrel Material
Once upon a time they did have both a PTFE and an all metal version V4. When the Duel Kits came out I think they came with one each. The best thing to do would just be to drop MG a email or phone call to see if they still have them available if you want one.

Re: M2 Level Help
I'm probably late to the party here but.... Don't take this the wrong way but your frustration is all operator error. It sounds/looks like you have an older model M2 so there's no way you should be using the quick start software. You're trying to use software on a machine it wasn't designed for so t...

Re: Did I botch something and if so how bad?
The Red circle is where you set the temp. and the blue circle is where you would extrude 100mm of filament once the temp is anywhere above 170.

Re: Has anyone changed the fan in their power supply?
I can't help you with the specs but I've had the Noctura's in all 3 of my power supplies and I've never had an issue.... well I have to assume they are running because they sure can't be heard.

Re: Remap extruder pins
I'm no expert but I think if you plug it into the other port you just need to tell your slicer to use tool 2 instead of tool 1 from now on. I wouldn't think you need to rewrite the firmware.
