Re: How to adjust X-Axis stop

Just a follow up.... I just took another look at my machine and it looks like the whole extruder motor has slipped a bit in the holder.... so the extruder is sitting at a slight angle.... I had a print come loose from the bed yesterday during printing, so I'm guessing it caused this. So it looks lik...

How to adjust X-Axis stop

recently I noticed that my X-Axis stop must be out of adjustment because when my printer starts a new job and it goes over to release some of the filament it is now ejecting it directly onto the glass, verses just over the edge. ( so in other words it needs to be shifted over about 1/16" ) How do I ...

Re: A Heat Chamber for the M2

I ordered a roll of the PET+ today to try it out.
My main concern is the cost.... ( looks to be about double the price of ABS )

The part that I am printing will be a fishing boat assessory..... so it will be out in the sun.
Any thoughts on how the PET+ will hold up in the sun?

Thanks,

Kent

Re: A Heat Chamber for the M2

Hi Mike,

Just checking in with you to see if the cabinet helped out on the cracking and warping issues with the ABS ?

If it solved your problems I may try to build one for my printer.

Thanks,

Kent

Re: Fan speed won't adjust in S3D

Just a quick update on this issue after I played around with it... It looks like if I set the speed to 97% it works fine. at 97% it is just the right amount of air flow. Even though 97% would sound like it's close to 100% speed it actually seems like it's running at about half speed which is what I ...

Is it possible to control Z Height on rapid moves?

I am using S3D for my slicer for my M2 machine, and I have noticed from time to time my extruder is making contact with my printed material when it does rapid moves. Is it possible to tell the slicer to raise the Z axis a little bit during these rapid moves? For example on my CNC Milling machine I t...

Should I use PLA or ABS for my project?

I have a boat accessory that I am going to make on my M2 machine, and I was planning to use PLA but recently I noticed on one of the posts that a member said PLA does not hold up well in the sun and warm temps. My part that I am making will be exposed to normal summer weather conditions on a fishing...

Re: A Heat Chamber for the M2

Very Impressive Set up!!! Just a note on the ABS material...... I use to have cracking issues with the ABS when I was using the .35 mm Nozzle, but once I changed to the .50 mm nozzle all my problems went away. I am using Purple Glue stick on the glass and the part stick to the plate perfect. I am ru...
