Installing an E3D V6 today, what do I need to know?
Hello all, after my V3b nozzle finally gave up (after 5 years) I felt it was time to change to something a little more widely used. It also helps that it is half the cost. Yesterday I assembled the E3D V6 and started the process of modifying the M2 to accept it. Since the V6 comes with a 24V fan I h...

Re: Not reading SD card
Well, I plugged it into one of my USB 3.0 ports and now it works fine..... not sure that is what fixed it but it is thankfully working now! I am going to print a Saturn rocket to try and make a rocket "lamp" and it is going to be about 4 medium sized prints that will take about 6 hours apiece and I ...

Re: Not reading SD card
the card reader is connected properly. It was working fine before I did my computer reset. I had this issue once before a very long time ago but I don't remember what I did to fix it.

Re: Not reading SD card
no worries! Yes, it prints just fine from USB. I found the Rambo driver on the makergear website, found out I had already installed it.... the wires are all connected correctly. not sure whats up. I don't mind printing from USB but thats where I usually get failed prints because I accidentally shut ...

Not reading SD card
Hey guys, I recently had to do a wipe of my computer and start from scratch and now when I click "Print from SD card" nothing happens. I have tried multiple SD cards, I have the newest version of S3D.... I am assuming a driver issue but when I go to device manager and right click on Rambo and try to...

You're welcome to borrow Ed-209, just don't feed him after midnight! Also I am printing a scale model of the Mars Curiosity Rover as well.

Re: little help (how do I stop at a specific layer again?)
I figured out that using the cross section view gave me an accurate way to measure exactly what the height of where I wanted to stop the print would be. So i ended up using that method, I just totally forgot about it :) In another note, i am super proud of my M2!!! I have been printing prototypes fo...

Re: little help (how do I stop at a specific layer again?)
Thank you! It isn't for a color change, just need to stop the print but that will work. I can just stop it from there and start the next piece. I am just trying to avoid printing supports on this one spot, I would rather glue on the top piece later than to have the support. Thanks again! Glad to be ...

little help (how do I stop at a specific layer again?)
Hey guys, it has been two months since I have touched my printer (was overseas) and now I have a print job to do! I have to separate it into 3 parts and the middle piece needs to stop at layer 76. I know in S3D I can make it stop at a specific mm height, but how do I get that mm number from the laye...
