Re: Moved house, now the z-axis is jamming

Nope. They are aimed at assembly, but there is very little in there on alignment.

Re: Moved house, now the z-axis is jamming

Exactly.... how to re-align it ?

If that does not work, it might be bent.

Re: Moved house, now the z-axis is jamming

Machine looks like it is in perfect condition (I baby it!).

Z-knob is not cocked. I can turn it and it move the build platform up/down. It is just too stiff for the motor. This is why I assume it is an alignment issue.

Moved house, now the z-axis is jamming

I have not printed in months, but have moved house twice. Each time I was super careful with the printer and moved it in the front passenger seat footwell of my car. Now that I have a new house and can set up my printer again, I tried to get it working this morning. The z-screw cannot traverse the f...

Re: Getting running in ABS as soon as I get my M2

OK, I went snorkeling with the thing. Not even 15ft, and the end caps leak. Even through areas that were acetone smoothed and are solid fill printed and 8mm thick! So I drilled a hole in the tube, let the water out and filled it with polyurethane expanding foam. Hopefully that keeps the water out an...

Re: Glass bed warped when heated ?

thats not right. the glass should sit on the heated bed and everything fits between the rubber corners. loosen the rubber corners a bit to make sure they arent squishing out making things too tight. the glass should not be touching the screws. where is the rest of your corner? there is a square rub...

Re: Glass bed warped when heated ?

Not sure if this is one of the reasons I am having calibration issues. The glass is larger than the bed. The rubber corners at the corner of the bed are higher than the bed. The glass actually sits proud off the bed because as it is on the rubber corners (by about 1mm on each side). Is this part of ...

Glass bed warped when heated ?

Oh... so I now have a dial-gauge indicator in my ever present quest to print ABS at 0.1mm reliably with 100% infill. I got the bed flat within 10 micron. Then I started a thin-wall box test print and everything went pear shaped. Skirts were smeared towards the center of the bed. So I got out the fee...

Re: Extruder fan... what is the 2pin connector called ?

I just cut mine off and reused it when I had to switch fans. you will want to replace both 40 mm fans at the same time so that they are the same model; they split voltage. Easiest is to just contact MakerGear and order a replacement fan. If you really want to experiment, Noctuas are very quiet and ...
