My guess is from the stepper mount being broken, causing things to shift and the filament to get stuck and not feed which caused the stepper to bind causing the break. \\
Or the printer hates me. I emailed support last night so hopefully I can have the replacement sooner than later

Need a replacement Extruder Stepper
So my M2 seems to hate me, after fixing the fans that died, figuring out the hot end wasn't lined up and not allowing the feeding (which is my guess of what led to this problem), and then the bracket holding the extruder stepper cracking. Complaining over, my problem is that the shaft on the extrude...

Re: printer overheating/freezing up stops working
Electronics fan and extruder fan. Didn't have time to diagnose what is happening, the replacement fan might be the issue. I used the 12v fan that I had on hand if it is 24v then that might be the answer.

Re: printer overheating/freezing up stops working
I'm running 7, when I use my computer with 8 it seems to work which might mean the computer. I was able to get 2 successful prints via the SD card method, then the fan over the RAMPS board died, giving me the same result. But I think that is explainable with overheating. So I replaced the fan, and n...

Re: printer overheating/freezing up stops working
Got it last year, it was part of the FIRST Robotics sponsorship they did. it has a giant power supply (i think it is called a bench PSU) that is in line between the wall and printer

Re: printer overheating/freezing up stops working
I'll give it a try when I get home from work. Any other ideas what might be going wrong if I get the same thing?

Re: printer overheating/freezing up stops working
I am running it via USB, haven't tried the SD card (haven't looked into using it since my other printers run fine off computers and I have extra computers to tie up)

printer overheating/freezing up stops working
Hello, I'm having a problem of on long prints the M2 will just stop printing. The computer isn't locking up, there isn't a power loss, the hot end stays hot, the heated bed stays hot, all the fans keep running, it just stops printing. Eventually the printbed will drop. this has happened on 6 prints ...
