Re: Runout sensor
I might setup Octoprint again to try a filament sensor...may be a better route anyway since it can be removed easier if it doesn't work out!

Re: Runout sensor
I love the idea of the sensor, I just need to research more to understand how it might work with Simplify3d and the M2...
In the finished item can you tell where the switch in filament occurred?

Re: Runout sensor
How did you make out with this? I was wondering how things resume since in order to replace the filament it has to go back through the sensor switch (triggers the switch), but you still have to manually add the new filament to the print head and extrude to get it working. Once filament is loaded, on...

Re: Rev E spider ...moving Z switch to bottom
You bent it up to reach the bottom of the plate? Why not just raise the bracket? Were you afraid it would move from the plate coming down/resting on it?insta wrote:I just bent the lever slightly

Re: Rev E spider ...moving Z switch to bottom
Here are my photos... You can see that with the Z switch pushed all the way down the platform barely engages it when it is lowered. I'm not sure how much you expect the switch to be triggered or how much to raise it. I don't want to put undue stress on it, but also want it to trigger correctly. Then...

Re: Rev E spider ...moving Z switch to bottom
There are two mounts for the z max endstop. For printers with the black z motor, it mounts on top of the z motor. For silver there is a bracket that mounts to the rear guide. Please contact us a support@makergear.com and send us a picture of what you are seeing. We would be happy to assist you in g...

Re: Rev E spider ...moving Z switch to bottom
I do have the bracket, but am not sure if it should be pushed all the way to the bottom (it is clamped to the back rod), or if it should be lifted slightly from the bottom....insta wrote:Either get the bracket that holds the switch, or use top-homing.

Re: Rev E spider ...moving Z switch to bottom
I haven’t installed the new firmware yet to test, however I did notice if I pushed it to the bottom it only started to press the switch, which is why I sent this note). I’m not sure if it presses it enough to trigger when placed all the way down...that is what I was trying to determine.... I think t...

Rev E spider ...moving Z switch to bottom
I’m currently upgrading my spider to the revE and as part of the process I have to move my Z switch to the bottom of the printer (vs top). Question: with the new Z switch bracket (for unit with silver motor), do you pus the bracket completely down to the bottom of the rod as far as you can got? Or d...

Re: Bed Leveling / Sensing on Dual
The software doesn't understand homing upwards, as far as I know, but otherwise there's no reason not to. If you go to bottom homing, you may have to bend the lever for the endstop they send to make it engage earlier. Ah maybe something changed in the software then since you last looked at it. It s...
