Hi all,
So after an exciting 5 months I have decided to bow out of 3D printing for now. It was an awesome ride and would have done it over again. But now I have sold my M2.
UPDATE: S3D License no longer available.
thanks,
loiphin.

What went wrong with this PETG print???
Hi all, So I printed 3DBenchy in 0.1mm with PETG and it all went to hell... http://imgur.com/a/vM1bE I stopped the print half way. So then I tried exactly the same settings but at 0.3mm ... then it turned out quite okay. (See lower picture) So why was it so poor at 0.1mm ??? Thanks, loiphin.

Re: My very first PETG print
I left it for two days and by then it hadnt moved much.. around 30% if I remember right... I was going to do it with an ESP8266 and use thingspeak , but already had the arduino logger lying around. I am just going to individually bag my Nylon and leave some silica gel in there. Have you tried ESP826...

Re: My very first PETG print
What have you got going on with that Arduino+Prototype shield(?) there? I have that Space mouse, it's really great. I built an Arduino based humidity logger. It logs the temp and humidity to an SD card. Out of curiosity I used it to monitor the humidity levels inside a sealed box of ABS/PLA and wat...

Re: My very first PETG print
Thanks The original model on thingiverse took the entire volume of the M2. I scaled it down a bit. So its probably around 17cm tall.Tim wrote:That's beautiful. It also looks like it must take up all the available height space on the M2. . . how tall is that vase?

Marlin Firmware 1.1RC1
Hi all, Just wondering if anyone else is running Marlin 1.1RC1 ? I have been using it for a couple of weeks on my M2 with E3Dv6 and it seems to be pretty stable. Not sure what benefit there is over 1.02-1 ? I compiled it with Arduino 1.6.5 r5 Added the fix to the code which sorts out X/Y shift issue...

Bought a roll of eSun PETG to try. This was my very first print. Happy with the result

Re: E3Dv6, jimc's extruder and excessive cooling
Just a quick update. I ended up buying the 40W heater for the E3Dv6 anyway. I didn't really need it as the insulation on the heater block worked, but it sure heats up quicker now.
