Part offset from center of bed
Hi- I have been using my MakerGear for some time and recently experienced the part being printed to corner of bed (see below) even though in the Simplify3D preview all looked fine. When it started printing it actually wanted to print even further off the bed and I hear a grinding noise for several s...

Re: Power supply and upper fan working but nothing else
Thanks for all the great comments and information!
I did have a spare nozzle assembly and swapped it out and it seemed to work fine. Must have been the thermister which I had forgotten about when I soaked in acetone.

Re: Power supply and upper fan working but nothing else
The only thing that appears to be working is the small fan shown in picture I attached and the power supply is on and "humming" as usual. I tried "jogging" the bed around and it will not move. When I click to warm-up the extruder temperature the icon turns red but when I look at the temperature grap...

Power supply and upper fan working but nothing else
I made a big mistake and removed the lower bed fan to try and do sequential printing with S3D. I let it run and in the morning the entire nozzle was covered in PLA filament. Covered 3d printer nozzle.jpg I manually removed what I could and then soaked the affected hot end portion in acetone to fully...

Re: Problems with 0.5mm extruder nozzle
Thanks for all the FAST and great feedback.
The thread thickness change really sped things up!
Quality was slightly improved by the calibration and adjusting the z-stop. But I guess this is the trad-off that needs to be made for the faster prints.

Problems with 0.5mm extruder nozzle
I recently purchased a 0.5mm nozzle for quicker prints but have run into trouble. My M2 came with the standard 0.35mm nozzle. I have not seen any significant changes to my "estimated" print times. I only seem to get a small improvement in speed even though the 0.5mm nozzle is about 50% larger in cro...

Re: Easy way to remove prints
I have mostly worked with PLA but I found that for stubborn prints using a chiller spray directed at the bottom of the piece where it meets the bed will tragically loosen it enough to just manually remove or allows for a joint knife or other sharp object to easily pry it off.

Re: Blown fuse? or fried circuit board?
Thank you both very much. I found out that one of the two were blown.
But the link shows a leadtime of 10 weeks.
I checked locally an Radioshack or Frye's electonics do not carry them.
Maybe I can find one on Amazon.
