Re: What is the preferred way to correct dimensional toleran
the tolerances are off due to the material shrinking as it cools. every material and manufacturer are a little different. z height will always be correct. atleast within 1 layer. i never use the horizontal size compensation. i scale the part in x and y in a different amount depending on the material...

Re: Ninjaflex on the V4
yes, the filament tube from makergear isnt true ptfe. a real teflon tube will be white and feel ultra slippery. there is a definite difference between the two. my ninjaflex machine would not print until i changed the tube out. if you pull the ninjaflex through the tube it will grip the sides of the ...

Re: S3D Separates Rhino Model With Filleted Edges
how you did it with the polyline tool is fine. just remember to draw your design out fully in 2d first then extrude up. draw using the simplest lines or curves you can to get the desired result.

Re: S3D Separates Rhino Model With Filleted Edges
when you export in rhino it will warn you if the model isnt solid. there is a check box "export open object" or something like that. be sure that is not checked. filleting in rhino is finicky. it certainly works but if everything is not done just right then it will fail. in all cases there are reaso...

Re: Hatchbox PETG - Looking Good!
pyro why not just pick up the the plate, mist it and drop it back on the printer? only takes a second since the plate just sits there. a squirt bottle and napkin isn't a very controlled way to apply the stuff and sounds like taking a 2 sec job and turning it into a mess.

Re: Best tool for cleaning the nozzle?
home depot tool section where they have the welding stuff. they have small wire brushes with wooden handles. I have one with stainless bristles but they have brass also. been using the same brush for 3.5 years. I heat the nozzle up and a quick scrub before each print is all that's needed.

Re: Print Settings for PETG: eSUN Solid Black Filament
The rev e homes to the bottom, not the top so the thing to do is probably look at the start script and take the line that moves the nozzle over to the the bed edge to do the purge and move that before the line the moves the bed up

Re: Hatchbox PETG - Looking Good!
not all hairsprays work for 3d printing. I have been printing nothing but petg for 3 years now on a mic6 plate. I have lost track of how much I have been through. well over 100kg spools. petg should lock down to the right hairspray no problem. you want garnier fructise extreme control #5. green can,...
