Bed Leveling Tip for M2

Post by rixter » Thu Apr 23, 2015 3:30 am

I just wanted to share a great M2 bed leveling tip I figured out. I used to have to level every couple weeks or so and once one of the leveling screws fell out.

Remove the 3 bed leveling screws one at a time. Put Medium strength Blue Loctite (thread locker) on each screw and put them back in. Then level the bed and it will stay put for a long time. The screws can still turn easy enough to be adjusted when necessary.

Mine has stayed put for at least 6 months now :)

Do Not use Red hi strength or you'll need a blow torch to get them out.

Hope this helps, Rick

I did a similar thing, except I used green post-assembly loctite :) Good idea.

Thanks insta. Yes the green should work well too. I've never tried that one myself.
