Anyone try to use all metal "Hexigon"
Anyone try to use all metal "Hexigon"
I wanted to ask if anyone has tried to use an all-metal hot end called the hexigon? it's available several places, from RepRap as well.
It turns out that PET+ materials that I used just changed formula, and it requires 240-260.
I am particularly interested in how people have modified the filament drive to mount different hot ends (such as E3D)? I am willing to wait for the V4 from Rick, but just wanted to understand what people are using/ modifying.

rsilvers' filament drive (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:267137) has an E3D version in the files which he has been using for a few weeks now.

Whoa, thanks Jin for pointing that out - I've printed one of rsilvers' filament drives out as a spare, and when I downloaded it I picked the version with "v2" in the name, thinking that was the most current one. Didn't even notice that it also had "E3D" in the name! Would have been quite a surprise when I tried to use it with my Makibox stock hot end... I will post a comment suggesting that this difference be highlighted on the Thingiverse page.

i dont really like the 3d printed mount. so i'm working getting a metal version.. or making my own.. all metal hotend all metal mounts makes sense to me..
