E3D Hotend Selection

Hi All, I'm trying to upgrade the hotend on the MakerGear M2 I just purchased and want to make sure I'm going the right direction. I'm looking at getting this hotend:
http://e3d-online.com/E3D-v6/Full-Kit?product_id=380
From what I understand the new M2s are all on a 24V system, and the fans that came with it are 24V so this checks out. Is there anything else I need to check? Also, does anyone know if I will need to buy anything else to adapt this hotend or just print the mount for it (I've seen many of these on thingiverse).
Thanks!

I highly suggest these pieces from Jim on this board. I've been using them since day one and they work great:

I installed my E3D with the temp sensor that comes with it. I did order a 24volt heater from eBay since it comes with a 12volt. I later found out that E3D also sells a 24 volt heater. Assembly was easy following the instructions on the E3D site. The only changes to the firmware were the ones mentioned in those instructions. There's another thread on this somewhere on the board where E3D installation is discussed in detail.

Can you elaborate as to why the v4 extruder is a better choice?

I haven't tried the V4 yet, but plan on trying it out as soon as I use up my E3D inventory.

1)
It's an actual supported upgrade from MG
2) The nozzles are easier to change and clean (although, not cheaper to replace by about $1)
3) It has a temperature range extremely comparable to the E3D
4) There's over an inch of difference in print height between the E3D and the V4 (in favor of the V4)
5) It's lighter weight and blocks less of the cooling fan
6) It's immensely easier to zero the Z out
MG seems to have stepped up the V4 game recently. Prices fell dramatically.

Empirically, the v4 has been a champ against a particularly tough filament -- somewhat humid Taulman 645. I cannot get it to extrude consistently from the E3D, but the metal v4 has no problems. In both cases I'm extruding at 290C and 40mm/sec.

Do you know if the 0.25mm nozzle is available for the v4? The description for the nozzles on the site says they're for v3b and earlier so it seems those ones wont work.

They seem to fit, but I don't know how supported it is
