Hi - I've attached Windows (zip) and Mac (tar) versions of the new getting started app. (This is just the steps/instructions, it does not actually connect to the printer)

The purpose and intent of this app is to improve the out of the box experience. The app provides step-by-step instructions for setting up the printer and running a print using a file included on the sd-card.

Some of the features are not yet shipping (setting the nozzle starting position). Existing M2 owners will be able to retrofit this change, if desired.

Feedback:

The part at the very start of the app, where it asks things like "have you plugged in the M2", is WAY too passive. It's the same "please ignore me" font and size as "[ ] yes I agree to the license".

In my opinion, this should be broken out into 3-4 steps with their own picture or animated line art (where applicable).

Cool little app! Like the Advanced section too. Customers are gonna love it......

One observation....you're having them set the gap with a folded sheet of paper (approx .20 mm at a guess) while the bed and extruder are still cold, then heating them up, which is going to cut that gap by about 30%-40%, and squash the first layer into a smear. If they heat the extruder and bed before setting the gap, it will avoid that, and they will wind up with a pretty good gap setting. (Just tried it, and at those temps, it doesn't torch the paper. 0.2mm is a good initial gap setting. They'll get very good results right out of the box and will avoid a lot of the typical getting started problems.)

(Would have liked to have that app when I started - it explains leveling very well.) Great job!
