Anyone with a Kill-A-Watt have the steady-state wattage?

yeah unfortunately according to the specs i would need a bank of about 6 of those to cover the kw i use in a day but according to the amp output i still couldnt run the high draw stuff. to cover that i would need about 22 of them. so for a mere 66 grand + installation ill be all set

well you can use Tesla's powerwall as a pure battery backup for emergencies, and it just keeps 7-10kWh charged all the time. They just happened to take the solar route for advertising sake.

Yeah i was just going off the specs for the battery they have on their site. I dont know how or if the solar part of the equation is factored in there. Going off their specs which i believe to be for the battery then i would need a crazy number of those. While love everything elon musk has going on i think this has limited use and only for backup so you can keep your food from thawing out and running a few light bulbs in a small house

The point is for people in communist California with their stupid-expensive day rates to use the solar/stored charge to run their heavy-draw appliances like AC and charge up at night off the cheaper night-rates. It takes like 4-5 years to pay for itself in that case.
