Yeah, i should probably also mention that I keep spare nozzles around, for exactly that reason!

I'm hoping not to have to use either, they are just on hand in case of emergency, and because the worst thing would be to need one right now and not have it. (But I promise, if it becomes necessary, I'll let my husband do the drilling - he's got a much steadier hand.)

boltdepot.com is very handy when you need a few (or many) very particular screws for a project. Their minimum order size is one screw, although it will cost $5 for shipping so best to get more. I've been doing a lot of metric screw shopping lately for an eggbot. I think my strategy will be to get a box each of M3, M4, and M5 nuts and washers, then buy the screws in the lengths I need them as I need them.

Can't thank you enough for that link no more six trips a week to the hardware store and paying an average of 30 cents a screw for me.

I went a little crazy and bought pretty much a 100 of every thing in Socket Head, Button Head, and Flat Head size 1/4" thru 1" in 4-40, 6-32, and 8-32.

I'm pretty sure I'm set for a life time (and then some) now.

steve those are nice kits HOWEVER you know you just screwed yourself (pun intended) by saying your set for life. you know the next time you need something it will be something you didnt get.

Makes adjusting bed height a tool-less affair and the broad head of the thumbscrew lets you stack shims on it if resuming a print or compensating for a different thickness bed surface. Works awesome.

Well I'm set as far as 4-40, 6-32, and 8-32 goes anyway.

Nothing I design does everything I design from here on out will take those three sizes. Plus I have so much extra metric stuff from building two M2 kits I'm good for at least a bit (as long as it's 3mm and under that I need.)

When I got my first laser - engraving machine it was metric, including the software. So Corel Draw X6 needed to be metric and on and on. Needless to say my 3D printer is metric, so I finally gave up and bought a metric tape measure.... from McMaster Carr.
