Round up! Round up!

But that's why basing a business on selling tchotchkes for cost of the plastic will bankrupt you in short order: you must account for overhead & labor costs before you figure the item's price. When you do that, Shapeways starts looking downright attractive for commodity parts, which just means you must sell something that's worth a whole lot more to your customers.

Unless it's a hobby or you're running off a tchotchke for a friend... but that doesn't require accounting!

I'm not targeting the tchotchky market, but I'll still entertain it. I have the #1 & #3 spots on makexyz & 3dhubs respectively in my area, and I still turn down plenty of business because of unreasonable requests. But, if somebody sends me an STL of a cube and they want it printed for $0.25/cc and they'll drive to my house to pick it up? That's like $15-25 that I made with plastic I already have rotting in the room, while I'm already in my mancave playing printers anyway.

But, by far, my favorite clients are the businesses.

edit: my 3d printing business is not my primary income.
