Got a beta invite. Poked around for a brief while. Some thoughts:

It runs entirely within a browser, which is good for accessibility, but bad for other reasons. Bad Reason #1 is that it doesn't and is unlikely to ever support my 3DConnexion mouse, which I find indispensable.

Feature-wise, if you have ever used a history-based parametric modeler like SolidWorks or Fusion 360, it will be pretty familiar, but you will be limited to these basic tools (or I can't find the others):

Extrude, revolve, sweep, thicken, fillet, chamfer, draft, shell, pattern, mirror, boolean, split, transform, delete part, modify fillet, delete face, move face, replace face, plane, helix, mate.

It has a full set of sketch tools, with all the usual features including a full set of constraints, projection, dimensioning.

It claims to have surfacing, but I can't find evidence of that, or I'm misunderstanding what "surfacing" is. I can't find a loft extrude tool. I can't direct edit imported geometry from a SolidWorks file like I can in Fusion 360.

So first impression is that it is not a toy, but it is possibly missing some features compared to Fusion.

I've been playing around with this (briefly too) for the last few days and it's actually pretty impressive considering it is all browser based. I've only played around with the basics so far and yeah it is missing some key features (that say Solidworks has) but I guess they are working on adding new stuff. For the average maker it would be a very useful thing to use assuming they keep the free version available. You are limited to five active documents with the free account but it looks like you can set files to inactive so I think the only limiting factor would be if you were doing assemblies with lots of parts. Overall I think it has a lot of potential, thanks for pointing it out to us.
