Anyone have one for sale?

Post by jprochnow » Thu Apr 30, 2015 1:28 am

I am looking for a m2 for a reasonable price. I am planning on donating it to my son's high school. Over the past year the technology teacher has been trying to get funds to buy a printer but all the funds go to sports. I'm looking for one that no one is using or needs some work to get running again. I would donate my m2 but then I won't be able to print my designs (I'm a full time solidworks designer ). If you have one to part with please message me or post in this thread.

Please don't delete thread. Last one got deleted after I tried to update a misspelling.

Is it rude to say that the ones at amazon.com are "reasonably priced"

My school was able to get their M2 by creating an online fundraiser campaign. we have strong ties with local engineering firms who have children at our school and they donated a huge chunk. maybe with 50% of the funding complete your school board will see that there is a legitimate interest in 3D printing and not just sports.

A local high school got an M2 through FIRST -- if your school is involved in FIRST, shoot me a PM. I can try to put you in touch with their advisor (who works with me); he can tell you how that worked. (I made a donation to the school's FIRST program to help defray the cost of S3D for them, as well.)

Pretty sure the four 3D printers that my kid's school has just sit. It takes a rare person to be able to make use of such tools. They are really only useful if you can 3D model stuff.

The good news is that if I was a kid there, I would have it all to myself - like I did with the computers before I had one at home.

That feature is not there. I'm guessing the admin has disabled it for some reason.
