Rhino is on sale (non student) for mac at the moment for $295 which is a huge reduction in price.

I am actually pissed off a little that its mac only.

Arrrggghhhhhh! To buy or not to buy? That is the question........
( Accidentally discovered that i'll be getting a mac of some kind for an anniversary gift his year.)

well its only going to go up. i think the full price is 499 or 599. something like that. its already gone up. i got my full version a week after it was released for 95 bucks. i would jump on it now unless you are able to get an educational lic.

Full price is 900+ - if I could get it for windows at 295 I would snap it up in a second.

thats full price for windows version. mac is going to be about 1/2 that. just looked it up. its 495 regular price. they are charging less because its not as developed. no plug ins or anything like that. you can bet when rhino 6 is released it will shoot up and that gap will be closer.

Ok that explains a few things - I thought it was some sort of windows bigotry

My 10 year old did. Lol. I got my windows version from novedge. They sell on ebay. Just send in you kid's class schedule or something showing they are in school and your good to go. my mac version is full lic.

I'll probably flip a coin over it.....soon as i quit shaking. (Best instant weight loss method on the planet....i guarantee i now weigh 3 lbs less than i did when i went airborne ten minutes ago.)

Sure you lost 3 pounds , but now you have the whole issue of removing that 3 pounds from your pants
