Raspberry Pi 3

The new raspberry pi 3 is available here. https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/raspbe ... 3-on-sale/.
It is fully backwards compatible with the earlier versions with the addition of built in WiFi Bluetooth and a faster cpu all for the same 35$ price. I will be trying it on my m2 with octoprint as soon as I have it. I have plans for the old pi 2 .

Might have to try one of these myself, the built in WiFi and Bluetooth is a nice feature.. plus my Wi-Pi stick just s#%t the bed the other day so good as excuse as any I guess. :D

I am going to grab one once they are available. They arent here in this country yet. Newark and adafruit are the main distributors and they dont have any yet

Yea I ordered from mcm electronics. Just says shipping soon.... lol my pi 2 is fine for now.

ooooh nice. mcm is a division of newark. atleast they let you order. the newark site and adafruit wont let you preorder. ill go do it now. thx for the heads up

Thanks... I couldn't remember where I ordered my last one from and MCM rings a bell. I just ordered the starter kit from them and it said in stock. :D

I just bought the kit out of sheer laziness... I didn't want to go source another power supply and card. :lol:
