Not sure how you got to that page but I just use the View Active Topics link from the main index page. (See Below)sprior wrote:The forum has so many pinned topics that if you go to the page which lists recent activity viewforum.php?f=1 there is only room for one actual latest post at the bottom. This leaves no way to see the current hot topics on the forum and therefore makes it look less active than it is.

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested
Click on Board Index, then the word MAKERGEAR in the blue frame right under the link "view unanswered posts". It's a useful page because it shows all the main topic categories and then the active topics for the whole board, but it's slowly gotten filled up with pinned posts.

stop making useful posts and i'll stop pinning them

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested
I can't currently get to the main Makergear website, only forum.makergear.com website works. www.makergear.com has DNS resolution errors, but I don't necessarily think it's related to yesterdays DNS attack. I'm mentioning this because I think you just said the website had been worked on.
Here's the diagnostics for www.makergear.com:
but the domain itself works:

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested
Seems to be fixed now.

"What's Next" from MakerGear would help with decisions on whether to wait for MG's next printer (or 3D Scanner?), and the accompanying quality, performance, and support, ... or, to begin shopping.
The prusa i3 mk2 looks pretty good.

I like this idea. The Prusa i3 mk2 does look pretty good, and it enspired me to make the changes I have made to my M2. The mesh bed leveling really caught my attention, and I encorprated it on the M2. I love my M2 and would not trade it for any other printer.Lateralg wrote:"What's Next" from MakerGear would help with decisions on whether to wait for MG's next printer (or 3D Scanner?), and the accompanying quality, performance, and support, ... or, to begin shopping.

Re: The MakerGear Website - input requested
I have no inside information, but past experience suggests why companies rarely pre-announce upcoming products: customers decide to wait for the next version, orders dry up, money stops coming in, and the company suffocates.mv3dnerd wrote:"What's Next" from MakerGear
That's more of a problem for small companies, but I've seen operations far larger than MakerGear suffer irreparable damage after doing what seems like The Right Thing.
