Good Morning!,
I am still chugging along with my M2 and was wondering if there is a solution to an issue I am having. I have a dual extruder on my printer that puts the left extruder off center when compared to an M2 Single. I usually print with the left extruder when printing one color. Simplify3D doesn't know or have a profile for a Dual M2 for use when only using a single extruder.
Here is what I see in S3D.
Is there a profile or some solution to have a correct printer bed representation when I am only printing from the left extruder?
Thanks,
Jerold
Simplify3D M2 Dual - Single Extruder Issue
Re: Simplify3D M2 Dual - Single Extruder Issue
I'm not sure how much this will help as I use Slic3r, but I can set an extruder offset. The offset for the second extruder is 31.1mm on the X axis (I forget + or - since it's been a while since I upgraded to dual).
I think it's normally handled by the firmware but you may have to compensate for it using a single extruder profile.

Re: Simplify3D M2 Dual - Single Extruder Issue
If this is not something that the user can fix in the settings, does this mean that Makergear accepts this representation of a Dual M2? Wondering why it hasn't been addressed. Dual Extruder M2 machines are not a new product.

I do not remember the name, but there was a previous thread that addressed this issue. I am sure you can find it by searching.
