Anyone try this new calibration piece?

I'd call that a stress test, but not a calibration piece. "Calibration" implies that you can use the results to fine-tune your settings to the right spot. That is, you should be able to measure something and plug that value into an equation to get a better value for some setting in the slicer. Unfortunately, I think there are very few people who know how to do calibration correctly, thus what you get on Thingiverse is an abundance of stress tests. As stress tests go, this one seems both comprehensive and a bit more "fair" than the one from the Make magazine test with the arch suspended in mid-air.

I'm no calibration expert by any stretch but it looks like there's about 11 different measurement points on that piece. What am I missing?

That's probably a good test piece after you have the printer reasonably well set up, but it looks like a disaster for from-scratch calibration: the inevitable faceplant failure in any one section would mess up all the other shapes around it.
