Natural ABS - Was the correct guess.
The print is from awhile ago so I went and looked up what I was doing back then.
Layer thickness .15 - I note I took from the taulman nylon guys where they said don't print a layer thicker than 1/2 your nozzle diam.
I also try and have a extrusion rate high enough to keep the diam being extruded at about .6 mm this makes for good layer to layer bonding.
Printed on Kapton Tape. - When the Heated bed is warming up to 105° C at about 60°C I wipe it down with 91% alcohol so it is squeaky clean.
I haven't had to print in a box as I am only using about 30% fill and the model has enough open areas to relive the stress to keep it from cracking.
(along with what is mentioned above). It is in a room in the corner with a shelf overhead and the door closed when printing to keep drafts down to a min.
I hope I didn't miss anything.

Thicker layers are stronger. Thinner layers tend to look better. So not sure about that 1/2 nozzle diameter thing.

ABS looks waxy - like Ivory - with more diffuse reflection and with less visible layers.
PLA has more specular highlights, more visible layers, ringing, and zits.
