Pronterface Extrude Button

Hi All,

I am trying to prime the nozzle after switching filament colors but every time i hit the extrude command, the window returns the following:

Length is 0, not doing anything.

However, if i select the print button, the printer starts printing and seems to work fine. Does anyone have any idea why?

You need to set the length of extrude/reverse by entering an amount under the "extrude" button. Also set the speed (under the "reverse" button). I typically set the speed to 30-40mm/sec. The length depends on what you're doing, say 50mm to make sure that everything is fully working, or 10mm just to double check that there are no clogs after letting it sit for a while post warm-up.

Thanks Rich. I feel a little silly that I overlooked that field.

Don't feel silly, you will repeatedly do it because you have to enter the value every time. Even if it actually has a value entered, I have to re enter it before the extrude button will work.
