Huh! :| I wonder why?

The only other thing i can think of is the reduced acceleration code that i have in all my Starting scripts. You might want to try tucking that in at the start of your script and see if it helps.

M201 X1000 Y1000 ; lower default accelerations

It's a puzzle. :?

Are you printing it with a single outline? This is just weird....mine doesn't do that unless i use two outlines. :?: :?: :?:

Know what.....Try adding a wipe of 1mm to the profile. I don't use one with PLA, but maybe it will break that "stopping short" mark that it's making.

Other than that, I'm at a loss. There might be something checked somewhere different between the profiles, but nothing that should be affecting that.

(I would post pictures of the profile so you can check everything against it, but i'm using a dual now. It would probably be more confusing than helpful.)

Oh poop, I'm an idiot! :?

I turned it. i completely forgot. i turned the owl on the bed by about 35 degrees, so that the face was fully hit by the fan.....maybe that did it. (On the dual, the bed fan is off to the right a bit.) It slows the X axis travel speed when you don't place an object facing directly towards the front.

Try turning the owl.

Yes used your settings exactly. It is pretty weird. I will give him a turn and see if that fixes anything.

okay, I looked it over - the only difference that i have in mine is that i have "Optimize Start Points for Fastest Print Speed" checked. You might try that, and rotate the little owl so that his face is looking off to the right by about 30°.

I'm running out of ideas.

Oh man out of ideas....

I turned it, and did the optimize start points. I would just be content to get the same results as you.

Re-printing now.

Shoot! Hate it when an experiment kills a theory.

I was all set to tell you that the way that S3d was slicing it when it was turned versus when it faced straight was making the difference, but to test it, i ran another print without turning it and it looks okay so far. So that's not it.

I think that setting for "Optimize Start Points for fastest Print Speed" is doing it. (And I've been watching it for about 30 minutes now to see what it does.)

That setting causes new rows to start on opposite sides of the bird when it finishes with the infill, wherever it happens to be. So it's not forcing one skimpy spot to always start in the same place.

So that might be the setting to change. (The one I didn't even think to mention in the original settings post.)

Aaaaaaayyyyyy, gurl!
