M2 Viki 2.0 Firmware - Can anyone get it to work? (Link)

I am not happy I bought the Viki 2.0 from Panucatt They haven't responded to my help ticket for 4 days now. Looks like a lot of people have complained about their service. Roy Cortes needs to pull his finger out. 75 bucks wasted on a display that does not work.

Did you edit the firmware before you installed it? You need to do more than just enable it. You need to make sure the pin assignments are correct, and there are a bunch of other things you need to change for the M2.

I followed the instructions as per their web site:

Enabled VIKI2 define and TEMP_STAT_LEDS define for the LED's.
Checked pins.h and all the pin assignments are correct. (There is a typo on the BEEPER, but in my case its just the LCD not working)

What else do I need to do?


I confirmed my LCD works fine, by hooking it up to an Arduino with the ST7565 library.

The connection to the lower row of X13 (EXT2 port), are you sure it's in the correct orientation? Perhaps you had it reversed? Looks like those are the LCD pins.

I have tripled checked the wiring I am quite sure its right. Yes the lower row, 2 left pins drive the LCD, along with yellow MOSI SPI pin. jsc, have you got a working Viki2 setup ?

I am convinced something is wrong with the code from the Panucatt site. I know format13 had the same blank LCD issue. I am hoping he will shed some light on this soon.

No, I'm referring to X13, the 10 pin header. It should have AO, LCS, and SDCD pins. No yellow MISO pin.

I do not have any sort of LCD, I've just been looking at the wiring instructions.

Sorry I meant to say that the LCD is driven with the Brown and Grey/Red pins on X13 and the yellow MOSI pin on X12.
