Alternative extruder?

I am about to try Ben Heck's extruder design, but wanted to know if anyone has found a better extruder for the M2?
I am running 4 right now almost non stop,and the only issue I always run into are related to the extruder

I upgraded in 2015 to a bondtech bmg extruder with an E3D V6 nozzle. I used a metal motor mount reversed and had to cut the end of the extruder plate to make it work. No extruder slipping problems or wear through now. You might check out the Bondtech QR or LGX. The QR might be a drop in replacement.

Thanks for the info; to change to the e3, do you have to change anything electronically?

You will need to flash your firmware for reverse extruder direction. See this thread.

Nothing changes on the mother board. You may need to crimp new connectors for the hot end, fan, and temperature sensor.
