One of my more interesting tests for the switch covers was with black and white nylon. I put a single layer on the outside, then cut through that layer with the laser. It was a big PITA and did not work nearly as well as expected.

Hi Phil, this may be laughable but the guy I knew who had a Mac-10, had the coke bottle adapter. I thought the concept was nuts, especially when he told me that the bottle would be one of the plastic ones and full of water. the first shot of a short burst would blow up the bottle and not much else and the subsequent shots would exit through a cloud of water which would suppress the sound.
And of course he hadn't tried it.
