I'm melting...

Okay, well I'm not, but the power connectors are. :)

Any idea what would cause this? It's a relatively new Rambo board with the older 19/12v power supplies.

lon, yes i think that happens to most of the pre 24v machines. the connector on the rambo is borderline rated high enough to handle the heated bed. you can be fine for a long time but then you lose just a little connection and enough heat builds up and it starts melting. best thing you can do is remove the connector from the board and solder wires directly to the board. use a high amperage connector between so you can disconnect the power supply.

Are the connectors the same for the 24v supply (via upgrade)?

yes but with 24v there is less current being pulled through the connector. in any case the connector on the board and the wire end need to be replaced. if you clean them up at this point it will only do it again. just get rid of it all together.

another option is to use the build plate output to switch a solid state relay so the relay handles the current.

Okay Jim, thanks for the info!
