3rd-party source of the extruder connector?

Post by helix_3 » Mon Mar 30, 2015 8:26 pm

The 6-pin connector for my extruder stepper motor is very close to failing; does anyone know a replacement source for a connector with wires (not just the plastic body)? Makergear can probably supply one, but I'm shopping around because I want to avoid the $12 shipping price.

If you want to do some splicing, you can get a "5S balance lead" off of eBay for next to nothing. Same connector, extra wires.

That said, appeal to MakerGear. They are human and will understand re: shipping. Or, order something you've wanted for awhile anyway (ahem more boro), and ask them to toss that wire in.

Awesome, ordered. I would ask them for a replacement part, but I just made an order Sunday and won't be ordering again soon.

If the item will fit in a small flat rate priority box then shipping is around $5.50 in the US. Your last order included a glass build surface and cost more to ship.

I think there's an error with the website then; when I went to check out with just the two gears, it listed $12 as the only available shipping option. I went back for the glass sheet since I was already buying shipping.

Edit: this is what it looks like when I try checking out with 2 pinions: http://i.imgur.com/0GlGmAu.png

I bought one, and it wasn't the right size :(

Well that was a $2 experiment that failed.
