Helpful tools to print

Finally took the plunge into 3D printing -- have to say I'm ecstatic with my choice so far.
What helpful "printer add-ons" do people recommend printing? I found & printed a nice tool holder, then found it's sized for an older model -- so I've already got an awesome demo print I can show people.

Anyone know of an updated/current one, or should I just design my own? I also just printed a 'reset button' as an initial test of S3D's 'high' setting, and it looks like it'll be really nice if I ever get it off the glass/glue...

Here are some I've printed that have worked out for me:

Wrenches for adjusting Z can be stored in the above tool holder:

This is the fan bracket I use on the MakerGear hotend made by one of our guys here (Dale Reed):

I really like this one since the tube fits really nice in to it, also it replaces that little spacer between the fan and the drive:

And last but not least if you ever get a Viki:

Almost forgot, I did this remix for the M2 which I'm real happy with:

That should keep you busy for a while...

Haha, yeah, at least a day or two.

Thanks!
Does the bracket for the fans do much other than provide space for LEDs (which I don't anticipate adding anytime soon)? e.g. better cooling or something?

I just liked the angle for the fan. The original was too close to the glass. I don't use the LED's on it. But there are a lot of brackets on Thingiverse you can look at.

It was designed in OpenSCAD, and I think I posted the OpenSCAD source as well as the STL, so feel free to tweak. (Dead simple design -- if you want the source and it's not there, it'll easily fit in a ( code ) box here...) I set the angle for the bed fan at 40 degrees to hold the far end of the fan up a bit. With the little MG fan angle, the bottom tip of my bed fan was running into the binder clips holding the glass down (even after I removed the little handles from the clips). This holds the fan a little more flat -- NOTE that you may or may not get less cooling on the back of the part you are printing!
The space for LEDs is just a bonus! (If you have OpenSCAD, you could shrink that "cube" and adjust the offsets and make the shelf go away some.)
I'm just happy that so many people have liked that part and found it useful. Thanks, all!
Dale

Oh, and I like this little holder for keeping up to 4 SD cards handy at the printer.
http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:44339 It hangs over the right side of the frame, over by the electronics enclosure. Great if you're doing some big prints and want to use the PC for something else. Copy the .g file to the card and start the print from there. Unplug the USB cable and go use the PC for other stuff.

Nice find I added that one to my collection. Thanks!

Finally got around to printing the snazzy Z knob. This may be a silly question, but how do you get the collar out of the stock knob? (Or does everyone just buy another collar?)
