Distributing mass in a print

I saw this on bbc.com. Is this possible on a M2? With S3D?

Yeah it's totally possible, just like what I saw on pbs.com.
I'm sure you know what I am talking about because of the example, picture, link, and explanation that I did not post.

The project was presented at the Siggraph computing conference in Vancouver this week, but Disney has refused to be drawn on any plans to release their new tools to the public.
Technically, there is no reason why their methods can't be done on an M2. Practically, it is not something anyone will be able to do without without the tools to calculate and generate the gcode for the different density regions.

Thanks for the link, that is a neat article and video. The ability of an equation to map the balance points and adjust print density is cool. A current practical application of topology optimization shooting for strength to weight ratio rather than center of gravity is shown on these two sites.

I figure the M2 could do it if the software could tell it what to do. From my (very basic) understanding of slicers (S3D being my preferred one for its simplicity), layers can be modified for infill (~mass) but not sections of layers individually.
