Printing Multiple Vases

I've got an object that I need to make a sort of production run with in vase mode, and there is ample room on the machine to print two of them at a time (one on each end of the bed). However when I add the extra model, it says vase mode cannot be used with multiple processes. I reduce to the same process, with vase mode, but it does not use vase mode - it has layers and retractions and these are aesthetically sensitive unfortunately so I can't have that. I tried setting it to 1 outline, 0 infill, sequential islands...no go there either. Anyone ever do anything like this before?

I think the thing with vase mode is that the nozzle never lifts off the print - it just goes around and around in a corkscrew shape. So it can only do it on one at a time.

That makes sense, but I was hoping I could get it to do them sequentially. Would cut my cool down and warm ups in half..and of course having to watch them more. Arg. I need about 10 of these things!

yup vase mode is a 1 print at a time deal

Here's what I would do. Create a gcode for each vase. Take the multiple gcodes and splice them together. It'd be a pretty easy splice, too.
Could make a gcode splicer app, if I felt like it.
Also, if you wanted to reduce the cool down/heat-up time, you could just try prying the part off as quickly as it gets done. If it's a thorn, you might have to wait until 50C for PLA or 90C for ABS, but you'd still substantially reduce the cool-down/heat-up times. (I don't believe you need a heated bed for PLA, anyway?)

I've wondered about splicing code - but that is far from my area of uhh "ample" knowledge, haha. I am making these out of PET-G and while I don't wait for 100% cool down, I am using a 1 piece 1/4" build plate so it takes some time even with a fan on it..not a ton, but way more than I would like to wait of course.

Even if you did that the nozzle has to jump from one part to the other at some point causing a start/stop point which really defeats the purpose of vase mode anyway.

Can't you use vase mode and check uncheck the multiple objects at once so it prints one whole vase then simply moves over and does the other ?

I'm pretty sure the reason they don't allow this feature is because the finished vase would probably slam into the frame no matter how far apart they are on the bed.

Great insight, but I'm sure this issue could be avoid with enough spacing and lining the vases up vertically on the bed. Might only be able to do 2-4 vases with this arrangement, depending on vase width.
