How can they be out at all? Everything looks super indexed against itself.

Insta which is good and which is bad? Also is it leaning towards or away from the back of the machine? Have you had an opertunity to check if the set screws on the motor gear are tight?

Another thing to maybe try is loosen all the key bolts up for the z rods and threaded rod. Then slowly tighten to see if they self align.

they adjust at the bottom. the clamp that they sit in holds them tight but the clamp bolts to the frame with m4 screws in little adjustment slots. i think most of the adjustment is in the x. i dont remember how much adjustment there is in the y

Heya Insta... long time no see.

Just a thought, but does the firmware support saving a transform matrix to compensate for an un-level bed? Perhaps, the firmware was set to compensate for an un-level bed, and is still applying the compensation even though the bed is now level?

Hey Dave!

Sadly, no. I think it's related to this (jimc seems to be on the ball here)

:?

So, uh, how do I set it? I'm just using my 2mm driver between the Z bolts and the rod clampy thing as a spacer. I'm sure there's a more official way.

i believe if you find a copy of the older instructions for the kit there are instruction to build the printer from square one. z stage and all. mine came with instructions for that even though makergear assembled that. i didnt have too much trouble setting my red printer. i can tell you it wont be twisted like that. i cant believe the bed raised up and down smoothly like that. i would think it would have binded terrible. as the bed is raising its actually rotating around and causing your shift.

How the heck did that happen. Before I shipped it the z was smooth. Did I over pack it with foam? Or do you think vibration from shipping with a combination of loose bolts cause that? I packed that machine better then I have ever packed anything before(i'm sure you can agree it was pretty good). Maybe I overdid it?

It did bind terribly, I could lift the entire printer by the Z stage. I think we're onto something here.

My other idea is just to loosen the bottom clamps, run the bed up and down a few times, and retighten them.
