What 3D design software is everyone using?
Re: What 3D design software is everyone using?
You know, you're probably right. I guess what I meant was that it doesnt seem quite as foreign since i'm staying within the autodesk ecosystem, rather than something completely different from another developer.
when you were first getting into fusion did you have any online resources that you could share with me for learning, tutorials etc?

Hey. I was looking into the same thing man. Didn't bother with Inventor, but the cheapest you can get into Solidworks is a hair over four grand. US if that matters. If you don't mind your drawings all saying "Student Edition" and you have a valid collage ID you can pick it up for a buck fifty though. Both Inventor and Solidworks are beyond easy to learn/work with and have ruined every other software for me. Now, both of them offer thirty day full product demos so you may want to look into that.

I will also add to this, if you are a military vet they give you solidworks for free and 20 bucks shipping. I actually got it a little over a year ago and never messed with it because i was still learning rhino. One of these days i will get it again and do some courses on it.

Would you mind sharing a link if you have one? I was unaware of this.

Hmmm its been so long since i did this i forget. I believe its the same place where you apply for the student license but you put down that you are applying for military discount. You basically get the student version. You need to email in your dd-214 then they get back with you on approval. Took 1 day
