You guys have been a huge help. I just ordered two spools of the PETG from William. Any tips for how to set it up in the M2 / S3D
Whats temps/ speeds/bed prep have you guys found to work best?
Material Suggestions for daily use (consumer products)
Re: Material Suggestions for daily use (consumer products)
Check out the esun thread, particularly jimc's post on page 10.
I've been playing more with it recently. Try 3200 mm/min, 250C, 150-200% infill extrusion width, fan on after first layer.

All of that is good info. Since i made that post i have done alot more printing with this stuff to see how far i can go and what my limits are with it. I took my temp down 5 deg to 245. My speed has been turned up to 4200 and 60% perimeter speed. 150% on the infill. Retraction and ooze setting will vary with your hot end but nothing else has changed really. Esun claims the stuff is hydrophobic and doesnt absorb moisture but i am finding this to not be the case. I had a spool open just sitting unwraped since i got and i an am hearing alot of popping and crackling as i print. Future spools i wont open until im ready and keep it humidity controlled.
I currently print the stuff on hairspray bed but glue stick and blue tape works as well. Petg is very sensitive to over extrusion and first layer height. First layer needs to go down right. No squishing it down on the first layer. Any over extrusion will collect on the nozzle as it print and become a big glob.
