Yeah the esun petg is $35 shipped. Its a full kilo. Intservo.com. I started out using pet+ but the esun is 1/2 the cost. Reprapper is about the same. Colorfabb xt is about in the middle.

jimc wrote:one other petg tip or trick. sometimes you get those microfine fuzzies or strings on the print. dont sit there and try to pick them off. just run the tip of a flame from lighter over the print. they disappear instantly. a heat gun works also.
Good tip! Those things drive me insane!

It prints as good as pet+. Layer bonding on opaque colors is much better than pet+. Opaque pet+ doesnt layer bond good. Atleast not like translucents. White and black will be here in a couple weeks

Well as soon as they get the white and black I will hazard a purchase.
On another note I had issues with layer adhesion worth pet+ but found that a slightly higher extrusion multiplier and no fan at all made all the difference.

Yeah it helps a little. I have run it as high as 285c also and its still nowhere near what the translucents are. I told them about it and they were supposed to decrease the colorant amount in it. This was prob 8mos ago. I dont know if that ever happened. Its really only an issue with thin wall stuff. Its not terrible just not great or nothing like petg.
