Trouble getting started

yes, that was twisted too. Today I was changing filament from PLA to ABS that got stuck and I had to disassemble Hot End and was noticed that filament drive was twisted too. now it is fixed. thank you everyone.

Does that help? I'm not at my printer to see which way I oriented mine. But I don't think my connector is at the top... Of course, I'll go home and look at it and it will be... ;-)

i was doing it the way manual says to do. as I said above filament drive was twisted too, no it is fixed :)


where can I read about S3D settings like retraction, first layer thickness, raft, multiplier, etc. and why we need all those things?

there is nothing official but jin has made up a how to guide for s3d a while back. newer s3d features wont be on there but youll get the basics. also goto the s3d forum. the past week one of the members there (keyboard warrior) started making some "tip of the day" threads and he is going over all the settings in each tab. he is up to 8 or 9 now i think.
