I work at a sheet metal shop, so getting a piece of metal to replace my bed would be easy and cheap. My question is: will it work, would it work better, and what problems could I face?
Would love the help, and if it works, would be able to provide users here with extras for pretty cheap!
Any input would be great!

Can you get me a flat sheet of steel milled into a 310mm disc? Something like 10ga steel ... looking for 2-6mm thickness. I'd like the surface flat to within 0.05mm (0.002"), if possible.jcspball13 wrote:I work at a sheet metal shop, so getting a piece of metal to replace my bed would be easy and cheap. Need this for an inductive probe bed on my delta

MIC6 would also work but it's way more expensive than steel.
