I've had two rolls of the eSun colored PLA (red and brown) come in with some really large jamming swings in diameter so far. Strange thing is....it's usually only for about a foot or two, and then it drops back down to within tolerance. So far, the other colors I've tried have been okay. (Fingers crossed.)

So if you're willing to accept an occasional wrecked print, I guess the price is still reasonable. And I do like their color options.

MakerGear makes much better filament, maybe one day they'll get a few more color choices.

I generally buy my stuff from MatterHackers and while you pay a premium for it - you can tell where your money went because its consistent then entire roll.

I decided to roll the dice with the esun bronze and white pla because why not. I have heard good things about the bronze especially and the price for both is a good 10 - 15 bucks cheaper.

The worst PLA I used was MatterHackers Pro ... it had random bulges (up to 5mm in some cases), clogged constantly, and was generally finicky. This was across every color they sold. Good luck...

Never used their pro stuff. Just the run of the mill pla. I must have printed 20 rolls of the stuff now on this and my other printer and never had an issue - now granted a lot of that was their 3mm stuff but I am 95% the way through a while roll and half way through a silver and its chugging along fine ...

So random how filament is all over the place

In my case it was a consistent thing. I had a huge print order and the customer just bought me one of every color of MatterHackers Pro PLA. Every single color had a bulge or jam, every single one. Plus one was the wrong plastic entirely -- ABS instead of PLA!
