You know the golden rule - If it looks too good to be true etc etc
The fan guards look a little odd on the one that still has the zip ties.

It's probably fine. I can see this being an R&D department at a school or tech college being shut down / shuttled in some manner, the machines (and lots of other things) sold off to a local reseller. The pictures are good and clean, and the person who did know anything about it probably just dropped it off and collected their checkjimc wrote:anyone see this listing for a pair of m2's. they both appear brand new or almost. something about this seems a little fishy? of course the seller knows nothing....weird

They look OK to me -- tools, etc. are there. However, I would INSIST that they restore the missing chocolates.
Re: ebay listing pair of m2's
Chuckle! Yeah, about the missing chocolates........Meant to mention that it might be time to switch to a free rock candy now......I got a free "puddle of chocolate" with my last order. (Not knocking it, it was incredibly tasty, but it did need to be pre-chilled prior to consumption.)Dale Reed wrote:They look OK to me -- tools, etc. are there. Re: ebay listing pair of m2's
I predict it will be a good deal for someone who wants two M2s. Let us know if the other one really is broken. I bet it was just some school where a student told the teacher they could not get it working. I would like another printer, but $1000 per printer where one is claimed to not work has too much risk to be a slam dunk considering that I don't really need it.
I just sold a $2150 scope on eBay and it went for my entry price of $1500 NIB, so there are deals to be had when there are not multiple-bidders.
