Re: anyone using octoprint 1.2.2?
ok i give in. it beat me. i guess if any of you guys get the new version working let me know. god knows i cant.
Re: anyone using octoprint 1.2.2?
What's the latest issue?
Re: anyone using octoprint 1.2.2?
1.2.2 as an octopi image. 1.2.3 for a regular install
Re: anyone using octoprint 1.2.2?
No, I mean what problem are you having now? Removing everything from that file should have reverted you back to the old behavior.
Re: anyone using octoprint 1.2.2?
The problem is that in the new release octoprint removed the wifi configuration tool. I installed the wicd-curses thing but that is having problems also. I get it to connect and i can see it on my router but i cant connect to it through the browser

Longshot as you probably all ready tried this but....jimc wrote:..... i can see it on my router but i cant connect to it through the browser
When I first setup octoprint I couldn't get it to connect through my browser either with the octopi.local command but once I found the IP of the Pi and just typed that into the browser it connected fine.

Yeah steve, already tried that. Thanks though
Re: anyone using octoprint 1.2.2?
OctoPrint doesn't have anything to do with setting up the network on the Pi. Any such additions would come from the OctoPi project, so I would check whatever forum they might have to see what other people are saying about it. You can't be the only one having this issue.
A stab in the dark: do you have to set up the network every time, or once it's set does it stay set? If so, did you try rebooting? Perhaps OctoPi got started before the network came up, and didn't know to bind to the wifi network address (i.e., it's only listening on the loopback address).

Re: anyone using octoprint 1.2.2?
to be honest jin, i got so frustrated with it and tried so many different things i dont know what works and what doesnt. i will do a little digging on the forum though to see what is going on. i really dont see how they can call that an improvement. why on earth they would pull the wifi config tool out of raspbian is beyond me.
Re: anyone using octoprint 1.2.2?
I got it up and running and it updated automatically to 1.2.4 . lots of sweet additions omg....I attached my modded network text file to see if that helps. If you use wpa just add your ssd where you see jimc and same for password.
