Support Suggestions
I ran this part using supports and on a raft. The underside of the part especially around the holes up inside the part has some very loose looking layers. I am using Simplify3D. Any suggestions as to what I should do to tighten things up. I made the pictures a little large so the issue would be more visible. The material is abs set at 245c.

I'd use 2 dense layers after the support structure, and maybe run a bit cooler / slower. (230C & 80mm/sec)

That's what happens to surfaces against a support/raft. There has to be some separation or else it would never come apart.
I would recommend you print it in the orientation shown in the photos. That way the only supported parts would be the two flanges on the sides. It would take less support material and more surfaces would look nicer. If you wanted to, you could get away with manual supports just under the outer curves of the flanges and rely on bridging if you modeled a one-layer diaphragm on the bottom-most layer of the side holes.
I personally don't like rafts and find them unnecessary. Try some glue stick.
