Client Prototype & GoPro Mount

Post by kartcrg » Fri Aug 28, 2015 7:20 am

My printer has been running almost nonstop prototype work (I'm a product designer) such as this

but I snuck in a GoPro mouth mount to snag some FPV shots kiteboarding.

I know its nothing that interesting but I'm loving everything about the M2 and prototyping in-house has taken my business to the next level. Many thanks to people on this forum for helping me get started and thanks to MakerGear for a great product!

Wait...you are holding the camera with your mouth?

Do you normally use a mouthpiece when kiteboarding and you just added the camera?

Some of the bigger "risk-takers" have been using some sort of mouth piece with their go pro for a while now (more often than not, just a generic gopro bracket). You will see it in some surfing videos, the surfer grabbing the camera and then bites down on some sort of mouth piece

I think the design is ingenious to use a snorkel mouthpiece!

No, I just leave it tucked away and then when I want to grab some footage I can pop it in my mouth for a FPV shot or hold it for shots like this.
