It says I need access to view the video. Can you make it public?

That's correct.

Edit: He uses a V4, this post was moot.

Another thought, are there sample prints specifically made for the V4 extruder? could you be printing those samples instead?

This is a V4 model.

I've almost concluded on the problem, almost, I'm a noob, but I think I might be on a hot trail.....

So looks like the profiles I used were not for a V4, once I deleted all of them, seems to be resolved.

I'll keep testing.

Just wanted to thank everyone for their help. I think I have some solid forward progress going on here.

The issue with the hotend/ z axis was use of profiles not meant for the V4.

I've been making prints and tweaking settings. Here are some prints (PLA):

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2vLvF ... sp=sharing

The one on the left in both pics are at these settings .2 layer, 200/50 temps, (not sure what else to disclose). -> any additional tips would be great.

Not sure if anyone has a V4 profile out there. Going to keep working on settings, and see where it takes me.

Oh, I did the calibration square as well. Got the extrusion width and height spot on, so feeling like I'm going in the right direction.

Glad it worked out for you. :)

I'd be curious to know what the difference actually is between the V3B and V4 profiles in S3D. My impression was that the settings didn't really have to change much if at all, but if that was the cause of your problem maybe there are some serious differences. I'm going to be installing my V4 upgrade this week so I guess I'll find out one way or the other
