Led 12v+ fan 12V instead of fan 24V (fan0)

I am not really expert in this stuff so i rather ask first you think is okey to replace the current 24V fan with a 12V led + 12V fan

the led is this one

current draw 40(ma) 0.5W @12V

the fan is this one

current 0.15(a) @12V

Probably not. Ganging two 12V fans in series for 24V works because they power up at the same time and more or less have the same draw at all times. But a fan at idle has no power draw, so your LEDs will see all 24V and potentially burn out. I would either power your LEDs separately using a controller (I use this one: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AHU ... detailpage) or wire two LED strips of the same length in series.
