I recommend a look at what these guys (Structur3d) are doing. I think they've opened a door that expands our capabilities.
My initial impression wasn't very positive ... resolution appears to fall short of what I get with my M2. Then I thought about how the M2 with S3D compares with that of my Mendel Prusa. Just a couple years changed a demanding dependent into an obedient servant.
I believe that similar advancement is likely with Structure3d.

Re: Accessory for Printing Broad Range of Materials
I'd buy one. To print latex or silicone caulk or a batch of icing may be low-resolution, but just to see the printer printing something out of it is utterly cool.
Re: Accessory for Printing Broad Range of Materials
yeah hyrel has had their printer out for a year or so with swappable extruders and they have one that does all those materials but its for their printer. its not an add on to existing printers like our m2
Re: Accessory for Printing Broad Range of Materials
Interesting, but for me more something to keep an eye on than to rush out and buy. If you want to do silicone or clay, you can print molds on your M2, today, and get higher resolution. I got some silicone caulk the other day to have a try at "oogoo", I should get on that....

Hello all, I am Andrew Finkle from Structur3D Printing.
I wanted to share some of the successes and failures the first time printing with Silicone: http://forum.structur3d.io/t/3d-printin ... scov3ry/16
I haven't broadcasted this around yet, so you guys get a sneak peak.
I would be glad to answer any questions you may have on the Discov3ry extruder and our experience printing with pastes.
Also, love the oogoo material!

I sent some $$$ to their Kickstarter campaign. I'll be receiving Beta package ~ October. I'll post my impressions.
