Yesterday I received my brand new M2 kit. After putting it all together I am having a bit of difficulty. Simplify 3d is getting a connection error. The Rambo USB driver and Arduino software have been installed. Any help troubleshooting this is much appreciated.
Thank you

I'm an idiot. Power supply wasn't attached....

Happens to me far more than it really should. Fortunately, it's an easy problem to fix after I find it!
Re: Brand New M2
To be fair, there's a jumper on the RAMBo that controls whether USB is sufficient to boot the thing up. Powering RAMPS by USB alone also works unless a diode has been severed on the board. Your expectations were not unreasonable, but you called "tails!" when the quarter landed headsshark0311 wrote:I'm an idiot. Power supply wasn't attached....

Re: Brand New M2
Not that it matters now but i believe that jumper is no longer there on rambo v1.2 and later. My old rambo had it and not my new one
Re: Brand New M2
I can think of no merrier Christmas than to get an M2!
Two years ago, I got mine, a bit late for Christmas and even a bit late for my birthday. I know that MakerGear has a bit of a backlog for the holidays at the moment, but the whole process it much more robust, streamlined, and efficient now than it was back then. It was sort of like the old days when you sent in your box tops and waited six to eight weeks for delivery. It is very hard to start a business like that, where you are dependent on many suppliers, and I'm happy to have helped by being a supporter in those early days.
Happy holidays with your M2, and (stealing a quote here) welcome to the fun!
